xprint - special processing of printfiles

     NAME
          xprint - print on laserprinters with optional features

     SYNOPSIS
          xprint [-P queuename ] [-a a2ps-options  ]
          [-l lpr-options ] [-1] [-t|-p] [ filename ... ]

     DESCRIPTION
          Xprint prints the named files with optional features on a
          local printerqueue. If no files are specified, xprint will
          read from the standard input.

          The following options to xprint may appear in any order.

          -P queuename
                    Send output to printer  queuename If no -P
                    queuename is specified, the queuename will be used
                    from the environment variables PRINTER or LPDEST,
                    where LPDEST will take presedence over PRINTER.
                    Note: If you rename (or link) xprint to prpsxxx,
                    the queuename will be defined by the invoking
                    commandname, but still -P queuename overrides the
                    queuename obtained from the commandname.

          -a a2ps-options
                    define options to be specified when calling a2ps
                    for ASCII files. The default options are -p -nn
                    -ns.  If you specify your own options, the
                    defaults are NOT inserted. This options is ignored
                    for Files other than ASCII.

          -l lpr-options
                    define additional options to be specified when
                    calling lpr to send the file to the printer.

          -1        Print simplex on Duplexprinters.

          -t        Print on transparencies (from slot 2) on colorprinter.

          -p        Print on paper (from slot 1) on colorprinter.

     ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES
          PRINTER specify printer to be used
          LPDEST specify printer to be used, overrides PRINTER.

     COMMENTS
          At the moment the following filetypes are supported:

               Postscript
               ASCII      - by calling a2ps

          At the moment the following printers are supported:

            For the -1 option:

               prps
               prps29
               prps87
               prps144a
               prps183

            For the -p and -t options:

               color
