Availabe SHELLs

Currently available are the following shells at the Institut:

: /bin/sh
: /bin/bsh
: /bin/csh
: /bin/ksh
: /usr/local/bin/bash
: /usr/local/bin/tcsh
: /usr/local/bin/zsh

The default shell for a new user is /bin/ksh unless otherwise stated. Note however, the shells in /usr/local/bin are not officially supported. So if you have problems with one of these shells, don't ask the service group to help you. May be one of the guys who introduced the shells can help you:
